Samsung’s next-generation smartwatches are expected to debut alongside its new foldable phones next month. Shortly after a leak confirmed color options for the upcoming foldables, we also have the details for the new watches. Additionally, the latest leak reveals expected sizes and connectivity options for the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 may come in two titanium colors
According to the leaked information, Samsung will offer the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in Titanium Gray and Titanium Silver. Like earlier Ultra watches, both leaked models are LTE variants, with no Bluetooth-only version appearing in the listing. There have been rumors of the company finally adding 5G connectivity to its watches, but it could be a regional thing rather than a global standard.
The use of titanium also indicates that Samsung is sticking with the rugged and premium design language introduced with the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. The watch may come in a single size with a 47mm case.
Coming to the standard Galaxy Watch 9, it will reportedly be available in two case sizes: 40mm and 44mm. Unlike the Ultra model, both sizes will be offered in Bluetooth-only and LTE variants. Color options may include Cream and Graphite for the 40mm model, and Graphite and Silver for the 44mm model.
The latest leak doesn’t reveal anything more about the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. However, Samsung has already revealed new health features debuting with its upcoming smartwatches. In fact, it has started rolling out a major update for the Samsung Health app ahead of the launch next month.
As always, leaked information should be treated with caution until Samsung makes an official announcement. If previous rumors are accurate, we won’t have to wait much longer, as the company is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. Stay tuned.
