It’s May, but Samsung is still busy finishing last month’s security update rollout. A bunch of Galaxy devices have already received the April 2026 security update, and some, like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, are now getting it.
April 2026 security patch lands on Galaxy Tab S9 FE siblings
Samsung is now rolling out the April 2026 security update to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+. At the moment, both devices are receiving the update only in their home turf, i.e., South Korea. This means we can expect it to roll out to additional markets in the coming days.
The build versions for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ are X610XXSCDZD6 and X510XXSCDZD6, respectively (h/t Mohammed Khatri). Those who own either tablet and live in Korea can go ahead and check if the update has reached their devices.
To do that, head to Settings > Software update. If you see an update available, tap Download and install. Once the update file is downloaded, tap Install now, after which it will take some time, and your Tab S9 FE will boot up running the latest security patch.
The April 2026 security update fixes 47 vulnerabilities across Android and One UI, including critical and high-severity issues. It also includes Samsung Semiconductor patches and addresses flaws in features like Device Care and DeX. So, it’s recommended that you keep your Galaxy devices updated to the latest patch.
