Samsung may be planning a massive expansion of the One UI 8.5 Beta Program. New evidence suggests that the Galaxy Tab S11 series could also get beta access in the coming weeks. We have already spotted internal beta builds for the Galaxy S24 series, Fold 6, Flip 6, TriFold, Galaxy S25 FE, and S24 FE.

Samsung prepares One UI 8.5 Beta for Galaxy Tab S11

Internal testing of One UI 8.5 has picked up pace in recent days. Shortly after rolling out the first beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 and the seventh for the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung started preparing beta builds for a bunch of devices. For the first time, the company appears to be adding Fan Edition (FE) models to the beta program.

Now, the latest findings indicate that Samsung is readying beta builds for the Galaxy Tab S11. The new firmware may have reached internal validation, with a public beta rollout likely to follow soon. If everything goes well, Samsung could release beta updates for all of these devices later this month. The beta program should be available in Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US.

It’s worth noting that Samsung had officially announced a One UI 8 Beta Program for its tablets last year, but it never followed through with a public release. Instead, the devices skipped the beta phase entirely and jumped straight to the stable update starting in September. However, with One UI 8.5, the company may give beta access to its latest flagship tablets.

Of course, Samsung hasn’t announced anything yet. It could scrap the plans if it doesn’t see a public beta testing of One UI 8.5 for more devices as necessary. But as things stand, an expansion of the beta program looks likely. More details should surface soon.
