Galaxy S26 Ultra Powers Sky Portal Studio at Vivid Sydney

Samsung has introduced a new immersive experience, Sky Portal Studio, at Vivid Sydney. This brings light, creativity, and mobile technology in one interactive space. Powered by the latest Galaxy S26 Ultra (review), the experience lets visitors glimpse a world that is more vivid, more connected, and more alive.

Samsung brings an immersive experience to Vivid Sydney

Sky Portal Studio has been set up at First Fleet Park in The Rocks, Sydney, as part of Vivid Sydney, one of the world’s leading multi-artform festivals. This space offers visitors an interactive experience through three portal installations. It will open on May 22 and run through June 13, offering free access to festivalgoers.

Speaking of the first portal, Defy Gravity, here visitors can record videos against a customizable, colorful LED background. The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Horizontal lock keeps the footage steady using advanced stabilization technology, even when people spin the wheel for a visual effect.

The second portal, Unleash Your Creativity, focuses on AI editing tools. Visitors can take a simple photo and then edit it using Photo Assist. They can add or remove objects and change outfits or locations to bring their imagination to life.

Now, coming to the third portal, Infinite Possibilities, it focuses on hands-free photography. Visitors can take selfies by waving their hand thanks to Galaxy’s Palm Selfie feature. After walking through all three portals, visitors enter the Creative Studio area. Here, they can further refine their content. 

“The Sky Portal Studio is an unmissable installation that invites every visitor to view the world differently, and to capture their vision through the lens of Galaxy S26 Ultra,” said Eric Chou, Vice President of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Australia.

Moreover, Samsung is inviting people to join in a collaborative film project. Visitors can submit content captured on Galaxy devices to help create a 24-hour story of Sydney. They will get a chance to win 1 of 3 Samsung gift packs (worth over $3,200). These include a 32-inch The Frame Art TV, Galaxy S26 Ultra (available for purchase with $250 off), and Galaxy Buds 4.
