Galaxy S26 Ultra Leads US Consumer Reports Smartphone Rankings

Samsung’s latest Galaxy S26 Ultra has secured the top spot in US Consumer Reports’ smartphone rankings. The phone earned the highest overall score in the April evaluation, ranking first among all smartphones tested. This suggests that the flagship model is undoubtedly one of the best Android phones.

Samsung continues to dominate the US Consumer smartphone rankings

For the uninitiated, Consumer Reports is the largest consumer goods magazine that tests and compares products. Each month, it reviews things like performance and price of several products. It is widely trusted for its independent and reliable ratings. The Galaxy S26 Ultra scored 88 points overall, placing it ahead of all other smartphones in the latest ranking chart.

The phone also received perfect scores in seven out of ten testing categories. Some of these include display, rear camera image quality, battery life, and durability. Consumer Reports noted that the phone lasted around 51.5 hours in testing despite the massive 6.9-inch screen. In fact, it was the only smartphone in the top 30 models to receive a perfect score for battery performance.

It is worth mentioning that this is the third straight year that the Galaxy Ultra series has topped the US Consumer Reports smartphone rankings. The Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra also secured the top spot in previous evaluations. Both models earned 87 points and currently sit in second position in the chart. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro Max ranked fourth with 86 points. The Galaxy S25 Plus also scored the same points.

A few days ago, the Galaxy S26 Ultra received top rankings from consumer union magazines in seven major European countries. In the UK, the phone gained solid attention for its privacy display feature, which limits screen visibility from side angles.
