Samsung has big upgrades in store for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new flagship offers more RAM, a new 50MP camera, an enhanced display, and a sleeker, lighter design. It will also feature satellite connectivity and other improvements. However, the standout upgrade could be the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor paired with Android 15-based One UI 7.1.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, One UI 7.1 highlight Galaxy S25 Ultra upgrades

Leaks suggest Samsung’s One UI 7.0 will be a massive update that redefines the Galaxy experience. It is said to deliver an ultra-smooth experience and a huge visual upliftment. The company could take things up a notch with One UI 7.1. The new version will debut on the Galaxy S25 series and bring additional improvements, further enhancing the user experience.

Noted tipster Ice Universe recently said that One UI 7.1 will be smoother than Apple’s iOS 18 debuted on the iPhone 16 series. “One UI 7.1 will offset these dissatisfactions and make people happy again,” the tipster said in a separate X post. Their remark came in response to a user questing a few things Samsung decided not to upgrade on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The user questioned the unchanged 5,000mAh battery, 45W charging, 200MP camera, and an aging 3x zoom camera. However, despite this, the Galaxy S25 Ultra might offer a substantially better experience than its predecessor. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor might be pivotal to this experience. The chip might help Samsung cover up some hardware shortcomings.

The same source suggests the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s AI prowess and improved ISP (Image Signal Processor) will substantially improve the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera output. The chip is already shaping up to be more powerful than the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s A18 Pro. It may also perfectly complement the enhanced smoothness enabled by One UI 7.1. Exciting times are ahead for Galaxy fans and tech enthusiasts.
