The Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best phones you can buy right now. Although it hasn’t hit store shelves yet, you can pre-order yours for as low as $399, and it even comes with a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. There are some key upgrades in the S25 Ultra compared to its predecessor, including subtle design tweaks and the powerhouse Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy under the hood. As expected, YouTuber JerryRigEverything is back to do what he does best, putting the Galaxy S25 Ultra through a tough durability test.

YouTuber puts Galaxy S25 Ultra through a durability test

The Galaxy S25 Ultra has undergone the JerryRigEverything durability test. While there are some design quirks, the flagship smartphone proves its resilience. Galaxy S25 Ultra successfully passed the rigorous bend test, but, yes, there are a few shortcomings to note.

One of the most discussed aspects of the test is the metal rings around the camera lenses. These rings are slightly elevated and glued, meaning they can be removed with force. However, it’s important to point out that they stay firmly in place under normal conditions. For everyday buyers, they’ll remain intact without issue.

Another highlight is the titanium frame, which ensures premium durability. While the buttons are made from different materials, the difference is only noticeable under extreme scratch tests. The phone’s construction holds up, as expected from a premium flagship.

The display’s new Gorilla Armor 2 glass shows a slightly different scratch pattern compared to last year’s model. While it marks at level 6 instead of 7, Samsung may have adjusted the glass formulation to improve impact resistance. That’s most of what Jerry covers in his new video, which you can check out for more details.

The bottom line? Despite a few shortcomings — none of which would be a concern in real-life, everyday use — the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still a solid choice if you’re looking to upgrade.
