With One UI 7, Samsung introduced several new AI features, including Now Brief. However, Samsung hinted that Now Brief would remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series, citing hardware limitations. Despite that, owners of several older Galaxy models running One UI 7 beta managed to access the settings page of Now Brief, though the feature did not work. But it raised hopes among users that Samsung could surprise them by including Now Brief with a stable One UI 7 update. Unfortunately, that turned out to be wrong as Samsung released the stable One UI 7 build for the Galaxy S24 series without Now Brief.
No Now Brief for Galaxy S24 with stable One UI 7 update
To clear up all the confusion, noted tipster Anthony (@TheGalox_) recently posted on X, saying that Now Brief has remained a Galaxy S25 series exclusive and is not part of the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24 series users recently received the stable One UI 7 update in several countries, including the US. After using the latest software for a while, the tipster discovered that the Now Brief feature is not showing up on the Galaxy S24 series.

Now Brief on S25 Ultra
We can assume that none of the older Galaxy models will get the Now Brief. The feature requires a powerful chipset like the Snapdragon 8 Elite, as it uses a personal data engine. However, we can’t say for sure that the feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series forever. There’s still a little chance (especially considering the fact that it showed up in the beta build) that Samsung might include Now Brief to older models (at least for the 2024 flagships) with future software updates.
However, it is confirmed that the current stable One UI 7 build does not bring Now Brief to the Galaxy S24 series, leaving users waiting for future updates to determine whether the feature will be made available to them. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset can also run heavy AI-powered features. It will receive seven years of major software updates. However, that’s pointless if the phone can not even handle the features of its immediate successor.
