Samsung is on a roll today. First, it released new One UI 8.5 beta updates for its Z6 and Z7 series foldables. Then it launched beta programs for Z5 foldabels (Fold 5 and Flip 5) and the Galaxy A35. Now, the company has kicked off beta testing for the Galaxy S23 FE as well, starting in India.

One UI 8.5 beta arrives on the Galaxy S23 FE

Galaxy S23 FE users in India can now sign up for the One UI 8.5 beta and experience upcoming improvements ahead of the public release. Samsung has already launched beta programs for all newer flagships, including the S24 FE and S25 FE. The first beta build bundles the April 2026 security patch, ensuring up-to-date protection alongside new features.

Enrolling in the beta program is simple, but availability may vary depending on your region and timing. It’s unclear if Samsung plans to launch One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S23 FE outside of India. However, you can check manually on the Samsung Members app. If available in your region, you’ll see a banner about the beta program on the app’s home screen. Tap the banner and follow the on-screen instructions to register.

Once your registration is complete, your device will be enrolled in the beta program. You can then head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to upgrade your phone to One UI 8.5 (beta). Since beta software is still under development, it may contain bugs or performance issues. You should back up your data to avoid any loss

Samsung’s latest move brings its newest software experience to a wider audience. As the rollout continues, more Galaxy devices are expected to join the One UI 8.5 beta program in the coming days. The stable rollout may begin in late April or early May.
