Galaxy Glasses Battery Shows Up on India’s BIS

In recent days, the batteries of several upcoming Galaxy devices have appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Last week, we spotted batteries for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Wide Fold, as well as Buds Able. Now, it looks like we’ve also spotted the battery for the Galaxy Glasses on India’s BIS.
It hints we may see Galaxy Glasses come to more regions
Samsung is apparently working on two versions of Galaxy Glasses, with model numbers SM-O200P and SM-O200J. At first glance, they might seem like the same product meant for different markets. However, a previous report from GalaxyClub suggested that one of them could feature transition lenses. We may now have spotted the battery for one of these models, or both if they share the same battery.
On BIS, the battery for the Galaxy Glasses has appeared with the model number EB-B0200AAY. A SamMobile report previously revealed that the battery capacity is expected to be 245mAh. The timing of these certifications lines up, and they bring the product one step closer to launch. Samsung has already confirmed that its smart glasses are coming in 2026, which suggests they could arrive in the coming months.
Speaking during the Q4 2025 earnings call, Seong Cho, EVP of Samsung MX, said the company is planning “rich, immersive multimodal AI experiences” with “next-generation AR glasses.” Reports also suggest the upcoming smart glasses will feature a built-in 12MP camera and be powered by Qualcomm’s AR1 chipset.
The fact that the battery has now been spotted on BIS suggests the launch is getting closer, as the product has cleared another certification step. It also hints that Samsung may launch the device in additional markets beyond the US and Korea, with India likely among them. More important details, such as pricing and availability, are still under wraps. Are you excited for the Galaxy Glasses?
