Samsung recently launched the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57. Both models have already received their first update soon after launch in many regions. However, the first update for the Galaxy A57 came with the older January 2026 security patch. Now, Samsung has released a new update and this one brings the latest April 2026 security patch onboard.

Galaxy A57 gets April 2026 security update

Samsung is rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A57 with firmware version A576BXXS2AZD3. The update includes the April 2026 security patch and has started rolling out in regions like Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines. For now, the update is available for the “B” variant, which is the global model, with more regions expected to follow soon, as Samsung releases updates in phases.

The April 2026 security patch fixes 47 security vulnerabilities identified by Samsung, Google and other partner companies. It does not bring any major new features but focuses on improving security and overall stability. Samsung likely pushed this update to fix issues after launch and ensure a smoother user experience for Galaxy A57 users.

Both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 ship with the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 software out of the box, giving users access to the latest features and changes. Meanwhile, their predecessors, the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56, are expected to receive the stable One UI 8.5 update soon, possibly next month.

If you own a Galaxy A57, it is a good idea to check for the update. To install it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheating before starting the installation.
