Galaxy A54 One UI 8.5 Beta May be Just Around the Corner

Samsung may soon launch One UI 8.5 Beta for one more mid-range smartphone. The company has created a dedicated One UI beta discussion board for the Galaxy A54 on its official community forums, a move that typically signals an imminent beta rollout. It has already started beta testing for the Galaxy A55, A35, and A36.

Samsung recently added the Galaxy A54 to its One UI beta discussion boards in India. While the company hasn’t made a formal announcement yet, these boards are often set up shortly before registrations open, suggesting that A54 users in India could soon get early access to One UI 8.5. A wider rollout to other select regions may follow.

The Galaxy A54 has already appeared on Samsung’s servers with One UI 8.5 firmware, so development has been underway for a while now. The device will join the Galaxy A55, A35, and A36 in the company’s One UI 8.5 Beta Program for mid-range models. It’s worth noting that beta testing for some of these is currently exclusive to Korea.

In fact, the Galaxy A55, whose beta program is now live in Korea, also recently picked up beta boards in India. It appears Samsung plans to expand beta testing for mid-range devices to more markets. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A56 may miss out. The device has yet to appear with One UI 8.5 test firmware, let alone beta builds.

Nonetheless, One UI 8.5 is already one of the most widely available beta programs Samsung has ever run, and it continues to expand. The Galaxy S25 series, which picked up the first beta build in December 2025, recently received its ninth beta release. The stable rollout for last year’s flagships may begin at the end of April, followed by a wider release in May.
