Samsung has started rolling out One UI 8.5 to the Galaxy A35. The update has gone live first in South Korea, with a wider global rollout expected to begin very soon. Samsung is also preparing One UI 8.5 releases for several other devices this week.

One UI 8.5 rollout begins for Galaxy A35

Over the past few weeks, Samsung has rolled out One UI 8.5 for several flagship Galaxy S and foldable lineups. The company has also released the update for some mid-range models, including the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26. Now, the previous-gen models are picking up One UI 8.5.

As usual, Samsung is distributing the firmware in phases, meaning users in some regions may receive it earlier than others. Korea is currently the first market where the rollout has been spotted, but users in Europe, India, the US, and other global markets likely will not have to wait long.

The update arrives with the firmware build version DZE4, though the exact file size and build number may vary depending on the model and region. The May 2026 security patch is part of the package, addressing the latest security vulnerabilities.

One UI 8.5 focuses more on refinement and usability improvements rather than dramatic visual redesigns. Samsung has optimized system animations, improved app responsiveness, refined multitasking behavior, and enhanced battery efficiency across supported devices. The update also introduces redesigned UI elements with better visibility, smoother transitions, and improved overall system fluidity.

Besides the Galaxy A35, several more Galaxy smartphones and tablets may receive One UI 8.5 this week. Galaxy users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the firmware is not yet available, it should appear gradually as Samsung expands the rollout to more countries and carriers throughout the week.
