Well, we’ve been hearing that One UI 7.0 could be one of the major updates in a while. Apart from major design changes, some of which we’ve already seen, One UI 7.0 could also fix several bugs we’ve been dealing with, including the Good Lock Lockstar notification issue.
One UI 7.0 update will fix Good Lock’s Lockstar notification icon bug
There’s an issue with Good Lock’s Lockstar, where users customizing the lock screen are causing notification icons to overlap with other widgets. This glitch has been present for a few weeks, primarily affecting Galaxy S24 users. Thankfully, a fix is on the way.
As shared by tipster Tarun Vats on X, Samsung’s Good Lock manager responded to a user who complained about the bug. They acknowledged the issue, explaining that “the location of the notification icon on the lockscreen is linked to the AOD [Always On Display].” A fix is in the works, with final changes expected to come with One UI 7.0.
One UI 7.0 is still away for most users, but the wait might be just worth it
There are reports suggesting that the One UI 7.0 beta could debut in the next few weeks. However, it won’t be available to everyone immediately.
To give you more details, it will first be available to Galaxy S24 users, followed by the S23, and then other devices. But keep in mind, we’re talking about the beta version of One UI 7.0. The stable (or final) version of One UI 7.0 is still about two months away. One UI 7.0 could roll out to eligible devices around Galaxy Unpacked in January, when Samsung plans to unpack the Galaxy S25 series.
While the wait may be a bit longer, it will likely be worth it. Based on rumors, it seems that One UI 7.0 will not only bring aesthetic improvements but will also address many long-standing issues.
