Samsung is continuing to prepare Good Lock for One UI 9. The company has released new updates for the ClockFace and RegiStar modules, with both updates primarily focused on improving compatibility with the Android 17-based software. While neither update appears to bring new features, they represent another step toward making the entire Good Lock suite ready for the stable One UI 9 release.
ClockFace finally supports One UI 9, while RegiStar gets an update too
According to the official changelog, both ClockFace and RegiStar have been updated to support One UI 9. The change is particularly important for ClockFace, which wasn’t functional on earlier One UI 9 beta builds. After installing the latest version, the module now works as expected on the new software.
RegiStar, on the other hand, already worked on One UI 9 before this release. The new update appears to further refine compatibility and stability rather than introduce any noticeable changes.
We installed both updates on a Galaxy S26 Ultra running One UI 9 Beta 3 and couldn’t find any new features, interface changes, or additional customization options. Everything points to this being a maintenance release focused solely on ensuring a smooth experience on Android 17 and preparing Good Lock for One UI 9.
Samsung has been updating Good Lock modules one by one since the One UI 9 beta program began. With ClockFace and RegiStar now updated, only a handful of major modules are still awaiting official support:
- LockStar
- NavStar
- NotiStar
- Home Up
- Game Booster+
Considering Samsung’s recent update cadence, those modules are also likely to receive compatibility updates in the coming weeks. One UI 9 is likely to debut with the new foldables (Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8) later this month, so expect all Good Lock modules to pick up updates ahead of that. Stay tuned.
