This week finally marked the end of the One UI 8.5 rollout story, with Samsung delivering the update to almost all eligible Galaxy devices. Apart from that, the company expanded One UI 9 testing to more models and continued rolling out the June 2026 security patch across several regions as usual. Last updated on June 28.
One UI 8.5 rollout ends, One UI 9 testing expands, and June 2026 update reaches more Galaxy devices
Starting with One UI 9, Samsung expanded internal testing to more midrange devices this week. The Galaxy A07, Galaxy A16, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 appeared with their first Android 17-based One UI 9 builds. On the tablet side, Samsung also began One UI 9 testing for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. It’s still early days, and many more Galaxy devices are expected to appear with internal builds over the coming weeks.

As for One UI 8.5, Samsung has now officially wrapped up the rollout for almost all eligible Galaxy devices. The Galaxy A15 and a few remaining models received the update this week, bringing the rollout to its final stage. However, Samsung never released One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, A33, A53 and several other 2022 Galaxy devices, making it clear that the company has no plans to bring the update to them.

As always, we track only major regional rollouts. If your Galaxy isn’t on the list yet, don’t worry. Samsung releases updates in phases, so it may take a little longer to reach your region or CSC. And if we missed your device, feel free to send me a DM on X at @Mohammed_K_2010 and I’ll have it added.
If you own any of the devices mentioned above, you can check for the latest update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. That’s it for this week’s roundup. We’ll be back next Sunday with another Weekly Roundup covering all the latest Samsung and One UI developments.
