Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, Ultra 2 spotted on FCC
Folks at Android Authority have spotted the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on the FCC. The foldables and upcoming smartwatches appear on the regulatory database with their assigned codenames, as follows:
- SM-F776U: Galaxy Z Flip 8
- SM-F976U: Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
- SM-L340 and SM-L345: 40mm Galaxy Watch 9 Wi-Fi and cellular variants
- SM-L350 and SM-L355: 44mm Galaxy Watch 9 Wi-Fi and cellular variants
- SM-L715: Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 (cellular variant)
As you may have noticed, there’s no outright mention of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (aka the wide foldable). Based on all the signs and patterns we’ve seen so far, it will likely show up in the next few days. All three foldables are expected to debut at the same event.
There’s also no mention of the Galaxy Watch 9 Classic, which previously appeared in a Google app with model numbers SM-L510 and SM-L515. That’s likely because it isn’t launching this year. The Galaxy Watch 9 Classic, in particular, hasn’t been spotted in any other regulatory database. That strongly suggests we won’t see it at the Unpacked event.
Samsung typically alternates Classic variants on an every-other-year cycle. Going by that pattern, it’s unlikely to arrive in 2026, and more likely to show up in 2027 instead.
