This week saw a slight slowdown in software update activity compared to the last few weeks. Even so, Samsung continued expanding the One UI 8.5 rollout. While the expected One UI 9 beta 3 update did not arrive this week, several older Galaxy devices appeared with their first One UI 9 internal builds. At the same time, the May 2026 security patch continued expanding to more devices, while the June 2026 security update rollout officially began for Samsung’s flagship phones and foldables, at least in Korea. Last updated on June 14.

One UI 8.5 rollout expands further, more Galaxy devices join One UI 9 testing, June 2026 patch rollout begins

Starting with One UI 9, Samsung was expected to release One UI 9 beta 3 for the Galaxy S26 series this week. However, the company has now confirmed that the update will arrive next week instead. On the brighter side, Android 17-based One UI 9 development expanded to several Galaxy devices. This week, the Galaxy A57, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy Tab S11 series and the upcoming Galaxy A18 were all spotted with their first One UI 9 internal builds. Unfortunately, we are not aware about the exact firmware number for many of these devices.

Coming to One UI 8.5, Samsung once again released the update for several Galaxy A, M and F series devices. The company appears determined to finish the rollout as quickly as possible and has maintained an impressive rollout pace so far.

As always, we track only major regional rollouts. The devices mentioned above have received the update in one or more markets. If your Galaxy is not on the list yet, don’t worry. Samsung releases updates in phases, so it may take a little longer to reach your region. And if we missed your device, feel free to send me a DM on X at @Mohammed_K_2010.

How to install these updates on your Galaxy device? Head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update appears and finishes downloading, tap Install now. Your device will reboot and complete the installation process with the latest changes applied.
