Galaxy M16 Picks Up April 2026 Security Update

Samsung continues to roll out the April 2026 security update to more devices. So far, a bunch of Galaxy phones and tablets have already received the latest security update. And now the Galaxy M16 is getting the April 2026 update.

Samsung rolls out April 2026 security update to Galaxy M16

Samsung is now rolling out the April 2026 security update to the Galaxy M16 for users in India. The build version is M166PXXS5CZD2, and the update size is around 304 MB. (h/t Sarthak Pathare on X!)

The April 2026 security update fixes a total of 47 security issues found in both the Android system and One UI. Some of these are classified as critical, while others are high severity vulnerabilities. The update also includes specific patches for Samsung’s semiconductor components.

If you have a Galaxy M16, you can download the update right away. Those in other regions should keep checking for the latest security update on their Galaxy M16. If it is not available yet, it likely will not take much longer.

To install the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update file is downloaded, tap Install now. The installation will take some time and will be followed by a reboot, after which your phone will start up with the latest security patch installed.
