Samsung Pushes Second April Update to Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung is rolling out a second April 2026 software update for the Galaxy S26 series. The latest release comes just days after the initial update, which reached users worldwide last week. It is currently available in Mexico with the firmware build version AZD4. The rollout may expand to other regions in the coming days.
Galaxy S26 series gets a second April update
While back-to-back updates are not unusual, this one raises a few questions, mainly because it appears to bring no visible changes. The official changelog (via Tarun Vats) is identical to the earlier April release, which arrived in Mexico last week with build version AZCO (build versions and update sizes may vary depending on the model and region).
With no differences listed in the official release notes, it’s unclear what Samsung is actually seeding with this second update. In some cases, such releases are pushed to address region-specific issues, such as network compatibility, carrier optimizations, or minor bug fixes that don’t warrant a revised changelog. In other instances, similar updates have later expanded to more markets, effectively becoming a broader rollout.
There’s also ongoing chatter among Galaxy S26 users about camera-related issues. Some have reported blurriness in zoom shots, while others have complained about incorrect previews of close-up images. However, there is no confirmation that this AZD4 update includes any fixes for those problems.
For now, the rollout seems limited to select regions, with Mexico being the only confirmed market. Whether this update will expand globally or remain a localized patch remains to be seen. While there’s no clear indication of a major bug sneaking into Galaxy S26 phones with the previous update, it’s worth keeping an eye out for new releases. You can check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
