While we are in the middle of One UI 8.5 beta releases and new builds keep appearing on test servers, the stable rollout timeline for the Galaxy S25 series has now leaked. Samsung may release the much-awaited update on April 30. This leak also gives us a rough idea of when other devices could receive One UI 8.5.
Galaxy S25 lineup tipped to get One UI 8.5 stable update starting April 30
According to Tarun Vats, Samsung could begin the One UI 8.5 stable rollout for the Galaxy S25 series on April 30 in South Korea. Samsung is expected to roll out the update to all S25 models – Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, and S25 FE. For the international unit, the “B” variant, the rollout could begin around May 4. After that, other regions like the United States would follow.

This suggests that Samsung is wrapping up beta testing and preparing for a stable release for its 2025 flagship lineup. The company may release up to 10 beta updates. Even though the rollout starts at the end of April, it still counts as an April release. However, most Galaxy S25 users globally may have to wait until early May to receive the update.
After this, Samsung could begin the stable rollout for its 2025 foldables – Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, around the second week of May. One UI 8.5 may then expand to more devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and others. Some A series models like the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 could also join the party in May, along with tablets such as the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup.
If Samsung follows its usual schedule, the rollout may take around three months to complete for all eligible devices. This means One UI 8.5 could finish rolling out by the end of July. It will be interesting to see what Samsung plans next as the rollout becomes clearer in the coming weeks.
