Samsung secured 77 awards at the International Forum (iF) Design Awards 2026. These include two Gold Awards for the ‘Music Studio 5’ and ‘Advanced Design Concepts for Appliance Accessories’. This shows the company’s effort to create user-focused, innovative product designs.

Samsung won two Gold Awards for design excellence

iF Design Awards is a prestigious international design competition based in Germany. The competition evaluates excellence across nine disciplines. They are Product Design, Packaging Design, Communication Design, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design, Architecture, User Experience (UX), and User Interface (UI).

Samsung’s newly announced speaker, Music Studio 5, received the Gold Award for its innovative aesthetic design. The speaker features a classic rectangular shape with a finely perforated grille that conceals high-performance audio units. Dynamic front lighting helps users easily identify key functions, while the compact form factor allows the device to fit into any space. It can also connect wirelessly with a Samsung TV through Q-Symphony technology.

Samsung also received a Gold Award for its Advanced Design Concepts for Appliance Accessories. The design focuses on a colour-based identification approach for accessories such as vacuum cleaner and air purifier filters. This helps users to easily recognize when accessories require maintenance.

Apart from the Gold Awards, Samsung received recognition for a host of products, including televisions, smartphones, and digital displays. The S95H OLED television was honoured for its ultra-slim, bezel-free design, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 was recognized for its thinner, lighter design with advanced features. The Movingstyle (a lifestyle screen) and Spatial signage (a glasses-free 3D display) were also recognized.

Furthermore, One UI 7 earned awards for its AI features that improve personalization and give greater control. Home Insight is a smart home feature that recommends optimal, personalized solutions based on appliance usage patterns. This feature also received recognition at the iF Design Award 2026.

“Today, design goes far beyond products or user interfaces. It shapes meaningful experiences that resonate with people,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “Human-centered design will remain at the heart of our efforts — deepening immersion and advancing responsible innovation.”
