Will the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Support the S Pen? Latest Leak Clears the Air

Even though a huge chunk of rumors has already painted a solid picture of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, there are still a few things wrapped in covers. One of them is whether the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support the S Pen or not. Earlier, it was expected that Samsung might remove the S Pen digitizer from the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to make it thinner, similar to what they did with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support S Pen, after all, but don’t buy one just yet!

This naturally led to speculation about how S Pen support would work moving forward. Later reports, however, revealed that Samsung is developing an S Pen that doesn’t rely on a traditional digitizer. While rumors suggested the project was canceled, those claims have since been put to bed. According to reliable tipster PandaFlashPro (now retracted), the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support the same S Pen used with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

However, there may be a few caveats, one of which is potential latency differences between the two S Pen generations. PandaFlashPro has not elaborated further on this yet.

PandaFlashPro has also issued a correction, clarifying that an earlier post was based on a misunderstanding. He mistakenly assumed the source said the Z Fold 7’s S Pen doesn’t have a battery, but it does. He confirmed that the mistake was his, due to confusion stemming from a Chinese-language source. The original source did not claim the stylus was battery-free.

Furthermore, several third-party vendors have already started listing Z Fold 7-compatible S Pens on platforms like Amazon. However, we don’t recommend buying them just yet, as official details are still unconfirmed, and compatibility can’t be guaranteed. We’ll know everything on July 9 when Samsung officially takes the wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
