The Galaxy S25 series packs a bunch of AI-powered features, allowing users to experience all the latest advancements in mobile technology. While these are part of the latest One UI 7, not all features will be available on older Galaxy devices. The Korean firm recently confirmed that some AI features will remain exclusive to Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, which include Now Brief, Advanced Routine, and Gallery Search.
Samsung reveals some One UI 7 AI features will remain limited to the Galaxy S25 series
Earlier, there was confusion about which AI features would make it to older Samsung devices with One UI 7. There was also a lot of confusion on whether Samsung would bring Now Brief to the likes of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. To clear all the confusion, the company has officially confirmed (now deleted) that the Now Brief, Advanced Routine, and Gallery Search features are not coming to older devices with the One UI 7 update.
Samsung didnโt go into details, but it previously hinted at hardware limitations. While the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Fold 6 are powerful devices, they may not be able to run advanced AI features efficiently. As such, these features will remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series. They should be available for the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge and foldable models, as those feature the same chipset as the S25 lineup.
Now Brief is the most interesting AI feature that older Galaxy devices will miss out on. It is a personalized information hub and active from the userโs wake time to bedtime. Advanced Routine, meanwhile, is a new tool under the Routines feature. It allows you to automate many complex tasks.
Speaking of Gallery Search, it aims to simplify finding an image in the Gallery app using natural language search commands. It uses Galaxy AI to scan through your images and gives you results based on your search. Just tap the Search bar and describe the photo you are looking for using text or speech. You can search for objects, pets, colors, and more.
One UI 7 brings many Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S24
While these three features remain exclusive to the S25 series or newer models, several other Galaxy AI features and AI-driven experiences are coming to the S24 series with One UI 7. Samsung began the rollout last week but has since paused the update due to bugs. As of now, we do not have any information on when it will resume the rollout, but we hope soon.
