In what may come as a surprise, the Galaxy A77 appears to have shown up on a Geekbench listing. For context, Samsung no longer makes Galaxy A7x-series phones, and the last one was the Galaxy A73 in 2022. Since then, the top model in the Galaxy A lineup has been the Galaxy A5x.

But it seems Samsung may be working on bringing back the Galaxy A7x line, and the Galaxy A77 could be the next model to launch. Reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav spotted an unusual entry on Geekbench labeled SM-A776B. For comparison, the recent Galaxy A56 carries the model number SM-A566x. That clears up any doubts, but this is the first time we’re hearing anything about a Galaxy A77 model.

Galaxy A77 Geekbench

On Geekbench, the Galaxy A77 appears to be running an unannounced Exynos processor with a deca-core CPU. It uses a three-cluster design with cores clocked at 2.78 GHz, 2.30 GHz, and 1.82 GHz. The phone is also paired with the Xclipse 940 GPU, the same graphics unit Samsung used in its previous flagship-tier Exynos 2400 and Exynos 2400e chips.

The unit spotted on Geekbench is running Android 16 and has 8 GB of RAM. In terms of performance, it scored 1,673 in the single-core test and 5,697 in the multi-core test. These numbers put it roughly much ahead of the Exynos 1580 powering the current Galaxy A56.

All of this makes it fairly clear that Samsung is preparing to revisit a lineup it had previously closed. As a result, the Galaxy A77 may actually see the light of day after all. And where would it fit in the lineup? Most likely, it would sit above the unannounced Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy S25 FE. From there, you can more or less do the math and estimate its price.
