Samsung has updated its Sound Assistant app with full One UI 8 support. While the module already worked on the Android 16-based software, the latest release irons out lingering compatibility issues and optimizes performance. With this update, Samsung is nearly finished rolling out One UI 8 updates for its Good Lock suite.

Sound Assistant picks up its One UI 8 update

With each major OS release, Samsung rolls out big updates to its Good Lock apps. These updates not only ensure smooth functioning on the new OS but also often bring UI enhancements, new features, and other upgrades. The company has already updated most Good Lock modules with One UI 8 support, and Sound Assistant now joins the list.

Samsung recently released version 8.1.00.5 of Sound Assistant, one of the popular apps in the Good Lock suite. Along with enhanced compatibility with One UI 8, the update brings UI refinements to the volume panel customization feature and general stability improvements. The app doesn’t get major new features with this release.

Sound Assistant gives Galaxy users much deeper control over audio settings than the stock options. With it, you can change the look of the volume panel, set different volume levels for individual apps, and make precise adjustments that the default controls don’t allow.

This update follows last week’s Game Booster+ refresh, which added One UI 8 support and a useful new feature. Samsung is clearly working its way through the Good Lock suite so that all modules are ready when the stable One UI 8 release begins next month.

Currently, only Samsung’s latest foldables come preloaded with One UI 8, while other flagship devices are still testing the update through the beta program. The stable rollout should start in the coming weeks, at which point users will benefit from both the new OS features and updated Good Lock modules to fully personalize their Galaxy experience.
