by | Sep 29, 2024 | Galaxy A, News

Several users of Samsung’s budget phones including the Galaxy A15 and A24 are currently facing some video playback issues. Many users of these devices have posted complaints regarding such problems on the company’s community forums. Samsung is aware of the video playback issues on the Galaxy A15 and A24 smartphones. The brand is working on an update that will soon fix any problems related to the video playback.

Several Galaxy A15 and A24 users are facing issues with video playback and calls

According to a post on the Samsung community website, several users face video playback and call-related issues on the Galaxy A series handsets. Some users are getting a message saying, “An unknown error has occurred” while playing a video in the Gallery app. While others are getting a pop-up message that mentions that the codec is not supported. When the codec is not supported, then only the sound is playing while playing a video.

Notably, some of the Galaxy A15 and A24 users aren’t getting the video feed during a call. Furthermore, apart from the Gallery app, some of the videos aren’t playing using third-party video players. As per the reports, many users of the Galaxy A15 and A24 are facing the aforementioned video playback issues globally.

Samsung will send an update soon to fix the video playback issues

As per one of the moderators, Samsung has acknowledged the video playback issues on the Galaxy A15 and A24. The company is currently preparing a software update to address such problems on these devices. The moderator mentioned that if you restart your device, other videos except the ones causing the issues will play normally. The main issue behind the video playback problems is the unsupported codec of the videos.

The brand hasn’t revealed a release date for the update containing these bug fixes for the Galaxy A15 and A24. However, it should be rolled out in the affected regions in the coming days. You can also do a manual check if the update is available or not on your device. You can do this by going to the Settings > Software Update > Download and Install section of your A15 and A24.
