Samsung has rolled out a new update for Good Lock, addressing some annoying bugs. The company has also released a One UI 9-compatible version of the popular MultiStar module. Both updates should reach eligible users via the Galaxy Store over the next few days.

Good Lock update fixes plugin update issues

The latest Good Lock app update arrives with version 3.0.16.2. While it isn’t a feature-packed release, it addresses a frustrating issue that prevented some Good Lock plugins from updating in certain environments. Samsung also notes that the update includes general stability improvements.

The update should provide a smoother experience for users running multiple Good Lock modules, particularly those testing Samsung’s latest software builds.

MultiStar arrives for One UI 9 users

Alongside updating the main Good Lock app, Samsung released a new version (11.0.59) of MultiStar with support for One UI 9. X user @GalaxyTechie shared an APK that installs on Galaxy S26 units running One UI 9 Beta 2 (the beta program isn’t available for any other device). However, it doesn’t appear to bring any new features.

Nonetheless, this release enhances Good Lock’s compatibility with One UI 9. As is usually the case with major One UI upgrades, compatibility requires significant optimization work, particularly for plugins that modify core interface elements such as the home screen, navigation system, lock screen, and notification panel.

MultiStar was one of the eight modules unsupported in Samsung’s Android 17-based update. The other seven, which remain unsupported, are:

  • QuickStar
  • LockStar
  • ClockFace
  • NavStar
  • NotiStar
  • Home Up
  • Game Booster+

For the uninitiated, MultiStar unlocks additional multitasking capabilities and provides more control over Samsung’s large-screen experience. It’s one of the favorite Good Lock modules of many Galaxy tablet and foldable users. Hopefully, Samsung will soon bring the remaining modules to One UI 9 as well. We will keep you posted.
