Indian users will finally get their hands on the One UI 7.0 beta tomorrow for the Galaxy S24 series, though it’s been available in other regions, such as the US, for over a week. We had our hands early at the new software, and to say we were impressed would be an understatement. For a deeper dive, check out our full One UI 7.0 beta coverage.

Samsung wants to hear from you about particular changes in the One UI 7.0 beta

Samsung is now rolling out a survey on the One UI 7.0 beta through the Members app. It’s asking beta testers how satisfied they are with the latest features. Participants are given six (or seven) options to choose from, ranging from Completely dissatisfied to Mostly satisfied.

To give you a sense of what’s being assessed, the survey primarily focuses on user feedback for features like Bixby, Routines Share, Writing Toolkit, Live Notification, Notification Panel, Quick Settings Panel, Camera, the latest call recording functionality, battery icon changes, and more.

Interestingly, there’s a strong emphasis on the new changes to the Notification Panel and Quick Settings Panel. For starters, these panels are now customizable, allowing users to decide whether they want them displayed Together or Separate.

Nothing on the removed lock screen widgets native support in the One UI 7.0 beta survey

I’m quite dissatisfied that the survey completely sidesteps the removal of native support for lock screen widgets in the One UI 7.0 beta. When I first heard about the survey, I was hoping this issue would be addressed. But, much to my dismay, Samsung has left it off the table entirely.

Samsung conducts a One UI survey every year, so this isn’t just a coincidence. In fact, these surveys are par for the course, as the company rolls out beta updates specifically to test new features and gather user feedback. This feedback loop plays a key role in refining the software before it’s ready for a wider audience.
