While Samsung continues its One UI 8 beta program for flagship devices, the company hasn’t slowed down on monthly security patches. The August 2025 security update is now rolling out to additional mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A15, Galaxy A25, Galaxy M55, and Galaxy F56 are all receiving the latest security fixes.

Samsung’s August 2025 update hits more Galaxy devices

Over the past few weeks, Samsung has updated dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets to its August 2025 security patch. This month’s release addresses 29 Android OS security vulnerabilities, including one critical and 28 high-severity issues. In addition, Samsung has included 18 Galaxy-specific fixes through its Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) program, ensuring improved device stability and protection.

All of these security fixes are now available to Galaxy A15, Galaxy A25, Galaxy M55, and Galaxy F56  users. The update is live for the 4G version of the Galaxy A15 in several Asian markets, with Samsung pushing firmware version A155FXXS7CYG3 to the device. The Galaxy A25 is getting the August 2025 update in Europe with the build number A256BXXS8CYG4.

The update for the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy A56 is also available in Asia, with users picking up build numbers M556BXXS4BYH2 and E566BXXU3BYH2. These devices are getting nothing more than this month’s security fixes — there aren’t any new features in tow. Users can install it by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download and install. All four models are eligible for Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8 update, which is expected to arrive before the end of this year.

As mentioned above, the company is currently running beta programs for several flagship models. It plans to release beta updates for additional devices in the coming weeks, including several mid-range models: the Galaxy A55, A54, A36, and A35. The stable rollout begins in September, though only the Galaxy S25 series may get it next month. A wider public release of One UI 8 may begin in October.
