It’s just a matter of hours before Samsung officially unveils One UI 8. Sure, it will take some time to reach our hands, but that won’t take long. We’ll likely hear a bunch, if not a lot, about the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. While there’s plenty to look forward to, not everything is good news for Galaxy users around the world.

Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G and Galaxy A22 5G won’t receive software support

Which is that Samsung is ending software support for a bunch of Galaxy phones and tablets. These devices include Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G, and Galaxy A22 5G. It’s no shocking, to be honest, given all of them came with four years of software support, which is now fulfilled. That means starting this month, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy F52 5G and Galaxy A22 5G won’t receive security patches or firmware updates.

These devices came a long time ago, in 2021. It’s already been four years of serving the devices with latest patches. So far, they have received quite a few software updates. But none of these run One UI 7, so One UI 8 was never even on the table. Simply put, Galaxy A22 5G and Galaxy F52 5G were eligible up to Android 13 update, while the Galaxy Tab S7 FE was eligible for up to Android 14. But now Google is charging flat fee for delivery ball.

If you’re still using any of these devices, this might be the right time to consider an upgrade. Without future updates or security patches, your phone could become more vulnerable and less reliable over time. With Samsung preparing to roll out new devices and One UI 8, switching to a newer model will ensure you stay secure, up to date, and ready to take advantage.
