Samsung may have just started a global rollout of One UI 8.5, but it is already gearing up for its next major software update. The company has taken a major step toward the launch of Android 17-based One UI 9. It created beta forums for the new version across several regions, signaling that public testing may not be far away.

Samsung opens One UI 9 Beta forums for the Galaxy S26 series

Samsung has quietly created official One UI 9 Beta Program forum pages for the Galaxy S26 lineup. Spotted by tipster Tarun Vats, the new beta sections are now live across Samsung community forums in several major regions, including Germany, India, Poland, Korea, the UK, and the US. These are the only markets where the company usually runs beta programs.

The forums themselves do not confirm an exact release date for the beta rollout, but Samsung typically activates these pages shortly before testing begins. As such, the first beta for the Galaxy S26 lineup could arrive before the end of this month. Once the program goes live, Galaxy S26 users in the supported markets will be able to join the beta through the Samsung Members app.

These dedicated beta forums will serve as hubs for announcements, known issues, feature discussions, bug reports, feedback, and troubleshooting throughout the testing period. While Samsung has currently created beta forums only for the Galaxy S26 series, it is likely to run beta programs for other devices as well. The likes of the Galaxy S25 and Fold 7 may join the program a few months after the new flagships.

As for the stable release, Samsung is expected to debut One UI 9 with its new foldables at the end of July. However, existing devices may not receive the update until a couple of months later. The company should complete the rollout before the end of the year, and then introduce One UI 9.5 in early 2027 with the Galaxy S27 series.
