Samsung continues to move closer to a public release of Samsung Internet for Windows. The company has recently released another update to its beta browser with version 29.0.0.146, bringing two key improvements. The latest build should hit all beta testers in the coming days through the browser’s automatic update system.

Samsung rolls out a new beta update for its internet browser on Windows

For years, Samsung Internet has been a trusted browser on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It offers a clean design with a bunch of privacy features for a seamless web browsing experience. In October 2025, Samsung released its Windows browser in beta for Korea and the United States.

The PC version borrows several features from its mobile browser app for a unified experience across Galaxy devices. For example, it features Smart Anti-Tracking to block cookies and web trackers. Likewise, Split View allows users to open two websites at the same time, either side by side or in a top-and-bottom layout.

So far, Samsung has released seven updates (including the initial build) to its PC beta browser, fixing bugs and improving performance as it works toward a stable release. As for the latest version 29.0.0.146, it focuses on usability improvements. The update improves the delayed display of added homepage shortcut icons, meaning users can expect them to load faster when opening the browser. It also enhances text input visibility in the homepage search bar, letting users see their typing more clearly.

It’s pretty simple to install the latest version of Samsung Internet for Windows. Just open the browser menu, go to Settings, and select About Samsung Internet. The browser will automatically check for updates and prompt you to relaunch if a new version is available. As of now, Samsung has not announced a release date for the stable build. However, given the frequent updates to the beta channel, a public launch may not be far away.
