Samsung expands One UI 8.5 testing along with January 2026 security update this week

Samsung began One UI 8.5 testing for a handful of budget and midrange models this week. The first One UI 8.5 test builds have appeared for devices like the Galaxy M07 4G, Galaxy M55, Galaxy F07 4G, Galaxy F16, and a few other large screen devices. As usual, this does not mean the update will arrive anytime soon. It only confirms that Samsung has started internal testing for these models.

On the other hand, Samsung has also expanded the January 2026 security patch rollout. The rollout began last week with the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A34 in Korea and has now reached more models. Some important devices receiving the update this week include the Galaxy Z TriFold, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
