Samsung’s newly launched flagships, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, all support Wi-Fi 7. However, these aren’t the first devices to offer the latest wireless networking standard. Wi-Fi 7 is also available on a few 2024 Galaxy smartphones and tablets. We have listed all compatible models below and will update the list as and when Samsung introduces a new device with Wi-Fi 7.
List of Samsung Galaxy devices that support Wi-Fi 7
Wi-Fi 7 brings significant improvements over Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, including higher speeds, lower latency, and better efficiency in crowded networks. Officially known as IEEE 802.11be, the new wireless standard promises to revolutionize connectivity for devices and users alike. You get nearly four times faster theoretical peak speed than the previous-gen standard alongside reduced network congestion.
These enhancements make Wi-Fi 7 ideal for high-bandwidth applications like 8K streaming, AR/VR, cloud gaming, and large file transfers. Some countries still have restrictions over the frequency bands Wi-Fi 7 uses to transmit signals. If you live in those countries, you won’t be able to take full advantage of the speed and efficiency gains.
However, having a Wi-Fi 7-compatible device ensures maximum security, speed, and efficiency when you have access to a Wi-Fi 7 network. Samsung first introduced the new standard to the Galaxy S24 Ultra last year. The base S24 and S24+ lacked the feature, likely because the Exynos 2400 chip used in some markets doesn’t support it — the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 supports it, but Samsung wanted to be more consistent.
The company then skipped Wi-Fi 7 from both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 despite running the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra launched a few months later offer Wi-Fi 7. Here’s the full list of Samsung Galaxy devices compatible with the new wireless standard.
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Galaxy S25+
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition
- Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
We will update this list whenever Samsung releases a new Galaxy device with Wi-Fi 7 compatibility.
