Samsung Galaxy A08, Galaxy Wide 9 Appear in GSMA Database

Samsung is constantly releasing new phones across different segments. And now we have evidence that it’s working on two more: the Galaxy A08 and the Galaxy Wide 9. These two unannounced devices have been spotted in the GSMA database. If anything, this suggests they’ll debut in the coming months.
Samsung preps new budget phones Galaxy A08 and Galaxy Wide 9
Reliable leaker Erencan Yılmaz posted on X that the Galaxy A08 and Galaxy Wide 9 have been spotted in the GSMA database. The latter could be a rebranded version of the Galaxy M17 5G in Korea. The two devices have appeared with model numbers SM-A085F and SM-M176S, respectively.
Galaxy Wide 9 could be a rebadged M17 5G for Korea
Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Wide 8 in Korea around June 2025. We can expect a similar launch timeline for the Galaxy Wide 9, and the model number all but confirms it’ll carry largely the same specs as the Galaxy M17 5G, which has already been unveiled globally.
These are budget devices, so don’t expect top-tier performance, but the specs should be adequate for everyday use. Not much has leaked about the Galaxy A08, so it’d be premature to say anything definitive, but you can expect some improvements over its predecessor. We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge. For now, this marks another step toward the launch of both the Galaxy A08 and Galaxy Wide 9.
