Finally, Samsung has expanded its One UI 7.0 beta program to several older devices. The company also promised to roll out the stable One UI 7.0 starting April 2025. However, in its announcement post, the firm did not mention the Galaxy S24 series, though the lineup is currently running One UI 7.0 beta 4 builds. Is the beta program over for the 2024 flagships, or does Samsung plan to roll out Beta 5 soon? Let’s dive into it.
Will Samsung release One UI 7.0 Beta 5 for the Galaxy S24 series?
Samsung rolled out its first One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy S24 series in December last year — yes, much delayed, not as per its usual schedule. The company has released four beta builds for the lineup so far, with Beta 4 being the latest (as mentioned above).
The latest beta brings a few new features alongside bug fixes and enhancements. The new features include an AI filter and Log format support on the camera app. The update fixes issues like UI errors in the lock screen and AOD, quick panel, fingerprint scanner, and more.
Interestingly, shortly after the beta 4 release, the developer team noticed some additional issues and released two hotfixes — some even thought it was beta 5, but later, it turned out to be just hotfixes. These hotfixes address a refresh rate drop and VVM crash issue.
As of now, we don’t know whether the internal team is satisfied with the latest beta build and ready to release it as a stable version next month. However, some rumors circulating on social media platforms suggest that Samsung will roll out two more beta builds for the Galaxy S24 series. If this is true, Beta 5 may drop very soon. For now, we can only speculate that Samsung may release it on March 6th alongside the first beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, but the company hasn’t confirmed it yet.
