It’s well known that the One UI 7.0 beta is currently exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series. However, several reports confirm that the Galaxy S24 won’t be the only one. More devices are likely to soon receive the beta update. These include the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and the S23 series. What truly surprised us, though, the Galaxy A55 may run the One UI 7.0 beta as well. Even more unexpected, Samsung may open the One UI 7.0 beta program to the two-generation-old Galaxy A54, too
Samsung might be prepping One UI 7.0 beta for Galaxy A54
@KeepUPwithOneUI, who previously reported similar developments, has now spotted the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy A54 on Samsung’s servers. According to a screenshot they posted, the firmware version appears to be A546EXXUBZYB8. This corresponds to the Galaxy A54 international variant, suggesting that the One UI 7.0 beta could roll out in multiple regions. That said, even with all signs pointing in the right direction, it’s still uncertain whether it will actually happen.

For one, Samsung is already significantly behind schedule in rolling out the One UI 7.0 stable update. If the company does plan to begin beta testing on multiple models, including the Galaxy A54, it would likely take at least another four to six weeks before the rollout begins. An alleged leaked roadmap suggested that the One UI 7.0 stable update for the Galaxy S24 series would arrive on April 18. However, Samsung moderators were quick to deny these claims.
So, for now, we’re left playing the waiting game, hoping for Samsung to kick off the One UI 7.0 beta. Or better yet, the stable rollout. At this point, it would be ideal if Samsung skipped these prolonged beta updates. Instead, it should push the stable version to all eligible models. In addition, Samsung is also rumored to halt the One UI 7.1 and 7.1.1 rollout in favor of an early One UI 8.0 release later this year.
