Samsung launched the Galaxy Ring in July 2024, but the new smart wearable still isn’t available globally. The company has been gradually rolling it out in additional markets. Most recently, it released the Galaxy Ring in South Africa, an expansion it originally announced in January this year. The ring should soon be available in more markets.

Galaxy Ring is now available in South Africa

In South Africa, Samsung has priced the Galaxy Ring at R7,999 (approx. $432). Color options include Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. The company offers a 20% discount if you purchase it alongside a Galaxy S25. Samsung says the ring is available for purchase through its Shop app, as well as its online and offline stores.

However, as of this writing, Samsung’s official website for South Africa hasn’t listed the product. It only says “coming soon” and lets visitors sign up for notifications. Nonetheless, the Galaxy Ring should be available in the country soon. Samsung offers it in nine sizes, but there’s some confusion regarding the official sizing.

The official announcement lists US ring sizes 5–13 in one place and 8–15 in another, making it unclear which options will be available. Note that the gadget originally came in sizes 5 to 13. Samsung introduced sizes 14 and 15 in January this year. The two bigger options aren’t available as widely as the rest.

In the US, Samsung sells all 11 Galaxy Ring sizes, all priced at $399. Of course, you can order the sizing kit if you are unsure about your ring size. Your ring should be a snug fit — not too loose, not too tight — for accurate health measurements. You can wear the ring on any finger and pair it with any smartphone, not just a Samsung Galaxy device. It connects with Samsung Health to offer a wide range of health features.
