In case you missed it, Samsung Internet is now Samsung Browser. Since the rename, Samsung has added (and has been spotted working on) quite a few features for the browser app. Some examples include Ask AI, smart shopping, and more. Now, it looks like the company is also planning a visual refresh.

Samsung Browser spotted testing a frosted blur toolbar effect

The good folks over at Android Authority spotted some blur effect changes to the toolbar while digging into Samsung Browser version 30.0.2.30. It shows a frosted, semi-transparent look that slightly blends the toolbar with the page content underneath.

At this stage, it looks like a purely visual refresh and doesn’t change anything else. For example, the toolbar behaves the same. It stays pinned to the bottom and carries the usual navigation shortcuts like back, forward, and home. Samsung Browser also lets you reposition the bookmark bar, and moving it downward makes the blur effect stand out a bit more in previews.

This visual tweak works in both light and dark modes, adjusting its intensity depending on the theme. It doesn’t interfere with usability, but it gives the interface a more polished, modern feel that lines up with current UI trends.

For now, this feature remains under development and isn’t available to users. Samsung hasn’t shared a rollout timeline yet, but it’ll likely arrive in a future update. As always, we’ll keep an eye on things and share updates once it goes official.
