Samsung Begins Manufacturing Galaxy S25 Edge in India

Samsung recently took the wraps off the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge (hands-on). It’s the company’s thinnest smartphone yet, coming in at just 5.8mm and weighing 163g. It joins the Galaxy S25 lineup as the fourth member, sporting an ultra-slim profile. Now, Samsung has confirmed it’s manufacturing the Galaxy S25 Edge in India.

Samsung confirmed in a statement to news agency PTI that it’s now manufacturing the Galaxy S25 Edge in Noida, India. Samsung’s Noida plant, located near the capital New Delhi, is the largest smartphone factory in the world, in terms of units produced.

Apart from India, Samsung also makes phones in South Korea and Vietnam, which are then exported to other markets. What’s notable is that this update comes just a month after reports suggested Samsung is looking to shift some production from Vietnam to India.

It packs the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip inside, paired with either 256GB/12GB or 512GB/12GB configurations. The real eye-candy is the ultra-sleek design with a 6.7-inch display. That’s about the same size as the Galaxy S25+, but the S25 Edge weighs the same as the standard Galaxy S25. Which cameras are on board? A 200MP wide sensor and a 12MP ultrawide on the back. On the front, you get a 12MP selfie camera, same as the rest of the S25 lineup.
