While all eyes are on One UI 8.5, Samsung is also internally testing One UI 9 on several Galaxy devices. A fresh leak now reveals that the company is working on a new app called Warranty & care in the next-gen Android 17-based software. This should make repairs and warranty management much easier than ever.

Samsung’s Warranty & care app could simplify Galaxy repairs

Right now, repairs or checking warranty details on a Galaxy device can feel a bit scattered. Samsung appears to address this inconvenience with a unified hub within One UI. While digging through the internal One UI 9 build, folks over at Android Authority have discovered a Warranty & care app.

As you can see in the images, the app features a Diagnostics section that appears to assess possible issues with the device. This is likely tied to existing support tools in the Samsung Members app. The company also implements an Ask Bixby option that should act as its virtual assistant in the support experience. For example, it could let users get quick answers to common device problems.

Furthermore, we can see the Request a repair option in the interface. This could provide a more direct way to schedule service appointments while also showing estimated repair costs. There is also a search bar that lets you find solutions more easily. Below it, you will see a few common issue suggestions, such as questions like “battery draining fast on Galaxy phones.”

The app will also show warranty status and repair history at a glance, so you get a clearer picture of your device’s service details. That said, most features are currently not functional, which is understandable since it is still under development stage. Samsung may improve or change these features in subsequent test builds. We’ll keep an eye on One UI 9 development and let you know if new details surface online.
