Samsung initially kicked off the One UI 8 Watch update rollout for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in South Korea, before making it available in the US. Now, the company is expanding the rollout of the latest Wear OS 6–based update more broadly across the US.

One UI 8 Watch update is now available for more Galaxy Watch 6 series users in the US

This means you can now update your Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatch to One UI 8 Watch even if you are on T-Mobile or Verizon. As shared by the folks over at SamMobile, the update for the 40mm model carries the build version R935USQU1CYK2. Meanwhile, the 44mm model comes with build version R945USQU1CYK2.

There is a good chance the update is already available for your Galaxy Watch 6 series, and you can install it right away. To do so, head to the Galaxy Wearable app > Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. The installation may take some time, after which your watch will restart and update to the latest software.

One UI 8 Watch brings many new features that you are sure to enjoy and that will help you better track your daily activities. There are also a few design tweaks, including redesigned app icons, a revamped app drawer layout, and a more customizable tiles interface. The charging screen now features a brand-new animation, and as with every major update, there are new watch faces as well.
