Samsung today rolled out a new One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series. As expected, the second beta build (ZXL5) addresses various bugs present in the first release. The full changelog is now available, detailing all the fixes and improvements introduced with Beta 2.

Here’s the full changelog for One UI 7.0 Beta 2

The second One UI 7.0 beta update weighs under 900MB for the European Galaxy S24. The update size may vary depending on the device model and region — in India, the build version ZXL5 comes as the first beta update and weighs over 4.5GB. Here’s what is new in the latest build.

According to the official changelog, this update fixes a Now Bar bug that caused it to appear on the screen even after you dismissed it. Samsung also fixed a connectivity issue with wireless DeX, preventing some TV models from connecting with phones running One UI 7.0 beta. The Reminder app gets its widget transparency bug addressed too. Users must update the app after installing beta 2 for widget transparency to function properly.

Samsung also fixed a background color issue with the weather widget. Elsewhere, it patched problems causing calls to terminate automatically or the Messages app to crash. On top of this, One UI 7.0 Beta 2 addresses Wi-Fi and NFC connection errors when enabled by a routine. It also fixes bugs in the app drawer, Quick Panel, and other system elements. The bizarre “Secured by Knox” label in the app drawer is gone.

Additionally, this update introduces the ability to set the screen refresh rate within the game booster. It also improves system animations, enabling smoother navigation and transition between apps. Edge Panel gets speed improvements, so it doesn’t feel laggy anymore. Power Saving mode, GPS, and other functions get stability improvements too. The update also contains many other smaller changes and bug fixes.
