One UI 6.1.1 Causes Wonderland Animation Issues, Fix Incoming

by | Sep 30, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps

A few days ago, Samsung rolled out an update for the Wonderland app to fix AOD issues. However, the One UI 6.1.1 update seems to have introduced fresh bugs to the app. Users have reported problems with lockscreen animations. The company has acknowledged the reports and confirmed that a fix is on the way.

Samsung is aware of Wonderland animation issues in One UI 6.1.1

A Galaxy Z Fold 5 user recently took to Samsung’s official community forum to report a new issue with Wonderland. According to them, their preconfigured lockscreen animation disappeared after installing the One UI 6.1.1 update. When they tried to reapply it, they received an alert stating that the animations were turned off.

The user checked Wonderland settings and confirmed that animations were enabled and set to 1.5x. However, they still could apply a lockscreen animation to their foldable via the Good Lock app. This raised concerns about the app’s compatibility issues with One UI 6.1.1. The Good Lock support moderator promptly acknowledged the report and assured that the issue was being looked at.

The moderator suggested that the bug specifically affects the 1.5x animation setting for Wonderland in One UI 6.1.1. They said the next app update will fix the problem. As usual, the y didn’t provide a specific timeline for the rollout of this update. Hopefully, the company won’t take long, though we aren’t very optimistic. The Korean firm took months to fix the AOD issues in Wonderland.

The One UI 6.1.1 update also caused several other issues on Galaxy devices. Samsung has already addressed some, while others are still bugging users. Some seemingly intentional changes have also frustrated Galaxy users, like how Notes avoids showing clickable links. The company needs to resolve these problems soon to ensure a smooth user experience. Its One UI 7.0 update is expected to bring more UI enhancements.
