Samsung is preparing to debut a new display feature currently called “Privacy Display.” The name may not be final, but the concept is straightforward — it customizes screen pixels to create a virtual shield, reducing visibility from side angles and keeping your content private in public spaces. Expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung may not keep it exclusive to its flagship Galaxy lineup. Some mid-range devices could also benefit from the technology.

Samsung’s “Privacy Display” may come to mid-range Galaxy devices

Originally referred to as Flex Magic Pixel, the display solution relies on software-driven tricks to limit visibility from wider angles, effectively keeping the screen content private from prying eyes. Users will have the option to disable the feature, easily toggling it off whenever they want to share their screen with others.

While the upcoming Galaxy S26 series looks set to debut “Privacy Display,” Samsung may eventually make it a standard feature across the Galaxy lineup, at least the premium mid-range and flagship segments. Visuals shared with us by @GalaxyTechie suggest that the Korean firm could bring this privacy tool to low-cost models in the future. If that’s the plan, the Galaxy A57 stands out as a natural testing ground.

That said, it’s equally possible the device is being used as a placeholder during development rather than a confirmed launch target. For now, all of this remains unconfirmed speculation. What’s clear is that Samsung is experimenting with new ways to give users more control over their display visibility, and whether it arrives as “Privacy Display,” “Flex Magic Pixel,” or under an entirely different name, the feature could represent a meaningful addition to the Galaxy experience.

The Galaxy S26 series debuts in early 2026, with the S26 Ultra leading the line, accompanied by the S26 Edge and S26 Pro. Stay tuned for more information.
