The July Unpacked event is fast approaching, which means the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are also on the horizon. Both the upcoming book-style and clamshell foldables are expected to feature a fresh new look. Specifically, rumors are circulating that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have an ultra-slim profile, aligning with earlier reports suggesting it could be the global version of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Galaxy Z Fold 7’s leaked dimensions reveal a 3.9mm thickness

Leaker Ice Cat (fka Ice Universe) is spilling some details about the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s dimensions. According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could measure just 3.9mm in thickness when unfolded. That’s a significant improvement over its predecessor, which is 5.6mm thick when unfolded. The expected body dimensions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9mm, according to the tipster.

If these dimensions hold true, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be both larger and taller than its predecessors. Interestingly, it will also be slimmer than both of these models, whether folded or unfolded. It’s also rumored that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest foldable yet when it launches in July, surpassing the Oppo Find N5, which is 4.21mm thick when open and 8.93mm when folded.

The same source also revealed that the inner screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a very narrow 1mm bezel. That’s a significant upgrade from the 1.9mm bezel seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Thankfully, there’s more to look forward to with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Reports suggest that the upcoming foldables could run Android 16-based One UI 8 right out of the box. With all these rumors combined, the upcoming lineup is certainly shaping up to be promising.
