Leak Confirms Galaxy S25 Launch Date, Just Over a Month to Go

Samsung’s next flagship lineup looks set for launch on January 22, 2025. Several industry insiders previously reported this date, and we now have a leaked official banner confirming it. In addition to the three standard Galaxy S25 models, Samsung might unveil or tease the Slim variant at next month’s Unpacked event.

Galaxy S25 launch date confirmed in new leak

Noted leaker Evan Blass, who recently shared official renders of the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra, followed up with another S25 leak. He took to X to post a banner showing the date for Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for January 22, 2025. While the banner doesn’t name any product, it’s obvious that the company will unveil the upcoming flagship phones at the event.

Interestingly, Samsung’s official teaser for Unpacked appears to show four devices, not three. You can see that in the image above. This suggests the company will unveil the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Slim at the event. There have been rumors about the Slim making an appearance in January, though a full launch may not happen until the second quarter of 2025.

Or maybe Samsung has changed its plans. We should get a confirmation soon. The Korean media recently said that the company will move cautiously with the Galaxy S25 Slim. It has planned a modest production volume for the new model. The idea is to gauge the market demand before finalizing the production volume. Unlike the rest of the lineup, leaks haven’t revealed much about the Slim model.

With the January 22 launch date confirmed, expect more detailed leaks about the Galaxy S25 series in the coming weeks. Samsung is likely to open pre-orders immediately after the launch, which is rumored to take place in San Francisco, USA.
