The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a larger display and a slimmer body
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to boast an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch external screen. This marks an increase in size compared to its predecessor, the Fold 6 with 7.6-inch and 6.3-inch screens. Samsung still uses M13 OLED materials, but likely with similar improvements found on Galaxy S25 phones. Expect the peak brightness to remain unchanged at 2,600 nits.
The design changes bring the new model in line with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (aka Fold SE), the slim foldable Samsung sold in China and South Korea last year. Speaking of which, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be even thinner than the Fold SE. Samsung is allegedly aiming for a thickness of less than 10mm. The SE is 10.6 mm, while the Fold 6 is 12.1mm thick. To achieve a slimmer build, Samsung has allegedly removed the S Pen digitizer. The new foldable is still expected to support stylus input.
