One UI 8.5 testing now seems to be slowing down. Most eligible Galaxy devices have already appeared on Samsung’s test servers. Recently, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, the oldest foldables eligible for the update have also entered internal testing. Alongside them, Samsung has started One UI 8.5 testing for several midrange and budget models such as the Galaxy M55s, M05, and F05.

Samsung begins One UI 8.5 testing for older foldables and budget models

Samsung has started internal testing of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The device has appeared on Samsung’s servers in India, Europe, Turkey, South Korea, and a few other regions. The Indian model carries the build version F936BXXUAJZAH. As always, this does not mean the update will arrive anytime soon. It only confirms that Samsung has begun working on the next major update.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has also joined testing. The device has been spotted on servers in India, Europe, South Korea, and Turkey. The build version for the “B” variant is F721BXXUAJZAH. This will be its final major feature update.

Samsung has also expanded One UI 8.5 testing to a few new budget and midrange devices. The Galaxy M55 appeared with its first test build a few weeks ago. Now, the Galaxy M55s has also been spotted with a One UI 8.5 test build. The model equips the build version M558BXXU2DZA7 and has appeared on the company’s servers in India.

The Galaxy M05 and Galaxy F05 have also entered testing. The Galaxy M05 has appeared on Samsung’s servers in India and Bangladesh with the build version M055FXXU6DZAF. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F05 has been spotted in India and Sri Lanka with the build version E055FXXU6DZAF.

One UI 8.5 is expected to be Samsung’s next major release. It should bring UI refinements, visual improvements, and several new features. We are now less than a month away from the stable release. The rollout should begin a few weeks after the Galaxy S26 series launch, likely by the end of March. More details should become clear after the official announcement.
